Due to the Covid-19 and the impact it has brought on the Church's activities like Annual Youth Camp, the Konongo Apostle Area has decided to hold a mini-youth camps at district levels. Thus, A Day's Youth Program will be organised in every district on different dates.
On the 29th May, 2021, the first edition of the innovative youth program came off where all youths from congregations in Nkrankese district converged at Ataasi Nkwanta. District Rectors Owusu Ababio (New Edubiase district) and Akomiah Adum (Nkrankese) as well as other ministers were present to support the program.
Priest Sarfo led “Duties of youth members in the church” which was one of the programs discussed with the members. The youth were made aware of duties and blessings associated with performing church activities as a youth. Other activities performed later where Open forum, Bible quiz and the election of youth leaders.
District Rector Owusu Ababio climaxed the day with talks about sacrifices and it was supported with the bible quotation 1st Chronicles 21: 24, “But King David said to Orman, No, but I will buy them for the full price. I will not take for the Lord what is yours, nor offer burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” We must always try to offer our own strengths, minds, souls and bodies to help God's activities and not just depend on what our parents have done in the church, he ended. It was all joy as it had been almost two years of not seeing one another.
