Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong- Brenya during the children’s service
8 May 2021

To climax the celebration of Easter, Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya conducted a divine service for Children at the Kumasi Central congregation. He was assisted by Shepherd Dennis Asibuo and Community Evangelist Emmanuel Dogbatsey. In attendance were District Rector Nantwi Buadu, District Evangelists Gyimah Boateng and Kankam.

The bible text was taken from 2 Kings 2: 9, “And so it was , when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “ Please let the double portion of your spirit be upon me.”

The Lead Apostle guided the children through the account of how the Lord was about to take Elijah into Heaven. He explained how Elijah pleaded with Elisha to stay away while he goes to where the Lord has sent him but Elisha declined and followed Elijah.

Just as Elisha persisted in following the master and received the power he prayed for so must we follow the Lord and never to give up.

The Children were as well advised to follow the Lord Jesus in all situations and circumstances and never to give up.  The Lead Apostle advised the children not to give up in serving the Lord. The Lord blesses those who serve Him and are obedient.

He told them to be respectful, obedient and never make mockery of anyone who is faced with challenges in life.

In attendance were one hundred and thirty-five children who were also served with gifts from the adults from the congregation
