Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene Saffo led the meeting
27 February 2021

Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo paid a working visit to the Volta North Apostle Area from 20th to 21st February 2021. During this visit he held a District Leaders’ meeting in Hohoe on Saturday February 20th, 2021.

A word of encouragement

The Lead Apostle opened the meeting with prayer and a word of exhortation from Matthew 28:16-20. He expressed deep concern over the adverse effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the activities of the New Apostolic Church. He however encouraged the ministers to keep their hopes high in the promise of the Lord Jesus Christ; “I am with you always, even to the end of the age”- Matthew 28:20.

The Lead Apostle emphasized that:
* The authority of Jesus Christ is still active in the Apostolate today;
* Jesus Christ reassured and continue to assure us of His nearness;
* The Apostles only teach that which the Lord instructs them to teach.

He further entreated the District Ministers to ensure close collaboration with the Apostle and all ministers to ensure the fulfilment of the commission received from our Lord Jesus Christ.

To the work, to the work…
On the administrative front, deliberations dwelt on the development of the church in the Apostle area. Key among the issues included:
* Review of 2020 performance with respect to attendance and offering
* Capacity building for Ministers
* Welfare of members
* Church renovations
* Settlement issues
* Efforts to obtain legal documentations for church properties (mainly landed property)
* Succession planning for ministers

In concluding the meeting, Lead Apostle Ohene-Saffo entreated the ministers to ensure an ‘all-hands on-deck’ approach, to ensure improved attendance and offering in 2021. He advised the ministers to resist the temptation of being bossy but rather lead with love and oneness.

The Lead Apostle was accompanied by Apostle Timothy Akubia.
