“God will take care of you”, a popular hymn was caroled by the ministers after divine service

Christmas is all about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, our Saviour; and some of the important virtues Jesus preached about was love, care and compassion.

With this in mind, the Youth of the East Legon congregation, in Accra, embarked on a mission to distribute assorted gifts to children around the community on Christmas Day.

The initiative saw several members in the congregation making donations in kind and cash to support the cause.

Following the Christmas Day divine service, there was a wonderful musical and choreography performance by the ministers and Sunday school. Thereafter, the Youth went out to hand gifts to the children in the Bawaleshie community where the church is located.

From kids playing in the streets to those sitting calmly at home, each one had his or  her share of the Christmas goodies, and in every house they went to, families warmly welcomed them and were pleased with their visit.

It was exciting to see the joy on the faces of the children who were not expecting any gifts but ended up receiving something for Christmas.

The Youth then took time to tell parents about the New Apostolic Church and invited them to take part in divine services on Sundays and Wednesdays. Most parents promised to come with their children, and were very excited about the one hour duration for divine services.
