The Apostle and ministers observing the COVID-protocol
1 January 2021

On the New Apostolic Church’s calendar, 27th December, 2020 marks the end of the year, which was climaxed with an End of Year Divine Service. This special divine service was greatly observed across the globe, in which the Volta South Apostle working area, in Ghana, also took part.

Apostle Anthony Kuada served two hundred and twenty – one (221) members in the end of year divine service on Sunday 27th December, 2020 at Kpotame congregation in the Sogakope District of the Volta South Apostle area. He was assisted by all district leaders in the Apostle area.

The service was based on 1 Peter 1:6, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials.”

“We need to give thanks to God Almighty for the great things He has done in our lives. God will always give us a reason to ever praise and thank Him, if only we do His will”, said the Apostle as he began the sermon.

The trails

The Apostle thanked the members for their efforts in the year of COVID-9, by keeping their faith with Jesus Christ. He said, that alone is a trial of which many have experienced across the globe. He added that everyone is going through difficulties but we must keep the faith to strive till the end

The will of God
He urged the congregants to always do the will of God to inherit the eternal blessings of life. He asked the congregants to follow the examples of Jesus Christ and explained that Jesus did not come to earth on His own accord and so always did the will of the One who sent him. The Apostle also asked the congregants to obey what they are thought at the altar of grace.

The unity of the Triune God

The Apostle said the Triune God; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit have always been united as one in every situation and endeavour. Likewise, he advised the members to always remain united so as to endure all trials. He asked the congregation to forgive their neighbour, so God can also forgive us. “You must win more souls by our action of love and unity and bring them to the altar of grace and salvation and in oneness with the Apostle ministry.

Concluding his sermon, the Apostle encouraged members to also share the gospel with others to win more souls for Christ. He said, “God has a plan for our salvation which He will complete for us to be saved and inherit the kingdom of God. We have a lot to do in the next year, and so, we must all be awake for the work of God.”

After the service, the Apostle also met the youth and their leadership to discuss issues of youth activities for the year 2021. Key on agenda was the rescheduled National Youth Camp.

Apostle Meets District Rectors
Prior to the divine service, Apostle Kuada spent some time on Saturday 26th December, 2020, to meet the District Rectors to review the various activities of the year. He praised them for the good works they did in the year and also urged them to do even more in the next year. They also discussed the welfare of both ministers and members as well.
