“Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice.” This was the text word drawn by the Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo as he ministered and inspired members of the Nkawkaw district in a special divine service on Sunday, 20th December, 2020. He was accompanied by Apostle Andrews Boakye and other Nkawkaw Apostle Area district leaders.
“Beloved, today is the 4th and last Sunday of Advent to remember Jesus Christ. Christmas is a happy season for us because of what we enjoy during this time. Many still see Christmas as just a feast and nothing more. However, it should be seen as the birth of Christ and also, we must remember the purpose of this birth”, said the Lead Apostle as he began the service.
Rejoice
Paul’s message to the Philippines says “Rejoice”. “Why should you allow challenges in life affect our believe in God?”, quizzed the Lead Apostle. “Yes, there are a lot of problems we face as Christians but if we have hope in Christ we will forever rejoice.”
He continued: “Beloved, know that regardless of how sinful we are our Heavenly Father still loves and cares about us. This does not mean we should willingly commit ourselves to sin. However, this love and care alone should be a reason for Christians to rejoice in the Lord.”
Beloved, do not be deceived
At such times, many other preach and tell of prophecies concerning worldly and physical events. However the only true prophecy which still holds and must be our topmost priority is that “Jesus Christ is coming the second time.”
The Lead Apostle remarked: “For some reason, most of these people do not feel comfortable reading the book of Revelations. Why? This is because they know it speaks against most of their doings. We, in the New Apostolic Church, however feel happy because we know and believe we are on the right path. Let us keep following the teachings of the Apostles so we enjoy eternal happiness in the Lord” concluded Lead Apostle Ohene-Saffo.
