Apostle Robert Asampong on the altar
30 October 2020

On the 25th of October, 2020, brothers and sisters of the Anyinam congregation in the Bosuso district of the Koforidua Apostle Area welcomed Apostle Robert Asampong as he dedicated the newly constructed church building for the Anyinam congregation.

The text word for the dedication service was taken from 2 Chronicles 6:10, ‘So the Lord has fulfilled His word which He spoke, and I have filled the position of my father David, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised; and have built the temple for the name of the Lord God of Israel.’

Gratitude

Apostle Robert Asampong expressed his sincere gratitude to the Almighty God for how far He has brought the church. He continued by expressing thanks to the members for their willingness to make sacrifices, thus enabling the church to be built, as well as to all those who worked on its construction.

History & Dedication

Speaking on the congregation's historical development, Apostle Robert Asampong said: “NAC Anyinam started some thirty years ago in Anyiman Zion School, where brothers and sisters fellowshipped for many years. A time came when a heavy down pour removed the roofing of the buildings in the Zion School which made it difficult for bothers and sisters to fellowship. Though a temporal place of worship was secured, we started looking for a land where we can build a permanent place of worship. Through many searches and sacrifices, finally a land was procured and here we are today, dedicating this awesome building unto the Lord.”

Apostle Asampong dedicated the house of God for its sacred purpose in the name of the Triune God. He assured the congregants that the new church building is a consecrated place where the Holy Spirit reveals Himself, the Word of God will be proclaimed and all activities performed will serve for the perfection preparation of the souls longing for salvation.

A place for our solace and our offerings

Recounting on the text word, the Apostle said: “When someone is sick, we take him to the hospital, when a criminal is caught, he is sent to the authorities for prosecution and if someone needs salvation he runs to God. The house of God is where these souls are nurtured for the second coming of the Lord.”

“Let not our prayers only be focused on asking God to do something in our life”, he said, “Let us also pray to God for things that we can do to help grow His church. Everybody has a part to play in the house of God, David planned in his heart to build a temple for the Lord. He made most of the preparations but the Lord made his son, Solomon, build the temple.”

God remembers our good deeds.

The Apostle used the story of Hezekiah to demonstrate that God remembers good deeds: “God sent prophet Isaiah to Hezekiah when he was sick to put his house in order because he was not going to recover but die. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, ‘Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.’

The Lord heard his prayer, healed him and added 15 more year to his life. What will God remember about us when we fall into such a trial? Let us seek the kingdom of God first and all other things will be added unto us.”
