Kumasi district, Kumasi: The 2020 batch of Confirmands welcomed by the Lead Apostle to the Kumasi Central Congregatio
10 October 2020

This year, 2020, the Corona virus threatened to derail all plans for the year, including the annual Confirmation Services which often takes place in the first half of the year. But all praise and honour to our Heavenly Father, His plan for us indeed never changes. Accordingly, many Apostle Areas conducted their 2020 Confirmation Services on 27th September 2020. This is a round-trip report around some Apostle Areas.

Kumasi Apostle Area: Angels of God watch over us

Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya conducted the special Confirmation Service for 31 confirmands at the Kumasi Central Congregation, based on the text word Psalm 91:11, “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways”

Highlighting the text word, the Lead Apostle explained that:
* Angels of God have always played a key role as part of God’s love and care for man
* The Lord has always used angels as part of His salvation plan for man
* The Lord has sent angels to deliver help and deliver man from times of needs and trouble
* We must live godly lives and hearken our hearts to the still small voice that tells us to avoid sin and evil.

Sunyani Apostle Area: Serve God till eternity

Apostle Moses Otchere confirmed 12 young souls and ushered them into the Youth, as he served a congregation in the Sunyani district with Psalm 91:14, “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.”

The Apostle admonished the confirmands and congregation to serve God in all humility, truth and remain focused in the Lord because the God of Abraham and Isaac will never forsake us.

Nkawkaw Apostle Area: Be humble, steadfast and committed

Apostle Thomas Boakye blessed 12 confirmands in a service at the Nkawkaw district where he read a text from Act 2: 28, “You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in your presence”.

The Apostle urged the confirmands to be humble and submissive to the word of God proclaimed by their ministers; be steadfast and hold onto their vows and faith; indulge themselves in church activities and commit themselves to support the work of God.

Accra Apostle Area: I will be your God, and you shall be My people

District Elders Eric Arhin (Accra West) and District Elder Ebenezer Adjei (Accra East) blessed 41 and 22 confirmands respectively in two separate divine services.

The text word in both services was taken from Hebrews 8:10, “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
