Apostle Ayidana welcoming the District Ministers
1 September 2020

On 23rd of August, 2020, Apostle Ayidana conducted a District Leaders’ meeting with all the district leaders of the Bolgatanga Apostle Area, at the Bolgatanga Central Church. This follows the resumption of divine services in all the Apostle Working Areas.

For the first time after the lock down and restrictions on church activities, all district leaders and their deputies of the Apostle Area gathered for a meeting to deliberate on the way forward following the pandemic. They came from the Bolgatanga, Nakpanduri, Sakoti, Bongo and Sheaga districts. It was a joyful occasion when the leaders met in-person after months of telephone conferencing. The ministers also expressed their gratitude to the Apostle for his intervention and encouragement during the lockdown.

The Apostle’s meeting with leadership was segmented into two main parts; Spiritual and Administrative.

Working on developing our churches

Apostle Samuel Ayidana encouraged all the districts leaders not to ease-off on their core duty. “The fact that Covid-19 had made us stay away for a while is the main reason why we need to work to cover up the gap” emphasized the Apostle. He stressed the need to work hard in making sure of bringing all the congregants on board. He however cautioned ministers to adhere to the safety protocols. He also discussed Soul Care meetings and visits by ministers as a key to sustaining the faith of members.

Donation to district ministers

The Apostle then made some donations to the district leaders. This was towards the initiative to prevent COVID-19 infections at the church.  The donation was largely funded by the Church Administration and also in part by the contribution of brothers and sisters in the Apostle area.

Demonstration to the using of the items

A Priest, Samuel Atanga, who is also a professional nursing officer from Bongo Soe was also invited to train and demonstrate the use of the items donated by the Apostle, most especially the thermometer gun. He emphasised that, it will be off great importance to prevent getting infected as opposed to being successfully treated. He also advised on handling the thermometer guns, since their replacement parts are not easy to come by.
