On 12th July, 2020, Apostle Moses Otchere led a divine service at the Sunyani Central Congregation following the easing of restrictions for religious worship. He served the congregants on the theme of Understanding God.
The Apostle’s message was based on Lamentations 3:22, ‘Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.’
Apostle Moses Otchere spoke about the need to understand God and be humble to Him. He said God loves His children and that the love and care from God goes beyond measure. He has promised not to forsake us by any stretch of imagination and He continues to care and protect His own from mystery sickness and any evil plans. The Apostle further shared that the love of God for mankind is endless unless we as children of God disobey His commandments.
The Sunyani Working Area leader further explained that even though we are faced with challenges regarding the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Good Lord will protect and heal us from this deadly disease. He added that he was personally not happy when members stayed home for three (3) consecutive months without coming to church to worship the Lord. However, we can only thank God for bringing us together as one family again to fellowship in worship.
The Apostle was assisted by District Evangelist Acheampong, who encouraged all to pray without ceasing and continue trusting in God because He will never forsake His own.
At the end of the service, Apostle Otchere also took a few minutes to stress on the need to observe the necessary protocols laid by the government in relation to public gatherings and personal protection. Physical distancing, wearing of nose masks, regular washing of hands and the use of hand sanitizers were emphasised.
