24 July 2020

Following the requirements by the government for all places of worship to follow COVID-19 measures to limit the spread of the corona virus in Ghana, the Konongo Apostle area have also been taking steps to ensure all guidelines are met in every district prior to the resumption of divine services. Contributing to this effort, the Konongo Apostle Area Youth (KAAYNAC) presented litres of liquid soap to the districts in the Working Area on 17th July, 2020, to assist the various districts in their preparations.

The items were presented on behalf of the youth by their leaders Priests David Affoh and Priests Ebenezer Akyirem. Apostle Anum Nortey, supported by Bishop Kesse, received the gifts on behalf of the District Rectors who had gathered for a soul-care meeting at the Kumasi Central Church.

The Apostle thanked the youth for their gift of thoughtfulness and kindness to the church. Blessing the youth in appreciation, he said: “May our Lord open your minds and hearts in the faith of Christ’s work. We will always support you. We hope and pray that this initiative will be put to its maximum use as we prepare to return to having fellowship in divine services.”

The Konongo Working Area leader further advised all to follow the COVID-19 protocols, saying:
* “Remember to wash your hands with soap under running water”
* “Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer”
* “Observe social distancing”
* “Wear face masks when stepping out of home”

Above all, the Apostle concluded: “Pray to our Lord to heal our Land.”
