District Leaders’ Meeting at Hohoe
On Friday March 13th 2020, the Lead Apostle held his maiden District Leaders’ meeting in the Volta-North Apostle Area at the Hohoe Central chapel.
The purpose of the meeting was to learn at first hand, the challenges of the church in the Apostle Area and together brainstorm on possible solutions.
The Lead Apostle opened the meeting with a prayer and a word of exhortation from 1 Corinthians 2:12. He highlighted to the District Leaders the functions of the Spirit from God. He further admonished that each and everyone must allow the Spirit from God to grow in him and cause them to grow in the nature of God.
On administrative matters, discussions were centred on the development of the church with emphasis on increasing attendance and offering. The following measures were proffered as a means to addressing attendance challenges:
* Increased capacity building of ministers through seminars to ensure sound teaching at all times;
* Grooming of young ministers to support the work;
* Well-planned pastoral care visits in order to address members problems as early as possible;
* Ensuring exemplary conduct especially by ministers, in their environments, in order not to become impediments to prospective members;
* Ensuring honesty and sincerity in all our dealings;
The Lead Apostle tasked every District Leader to, as a matter of necessity, shore up their efforts at ensuring an encouraging attendance and offering.
He also announced to the District Leaders the support of the District Apostle towards the National Youth Convention in August and entreated them to ensure all the youth in their respective Districts attended.
