“It is a blessing to receive the word as directed by the Holy Spirit in the House of God. It is a blessing for our sins to be forgiven to make us free to receive the Holy Communion. The word is power and life, and the blessing is in two folds – physical and spiritual. The spiritual blessing is received in the house of God. The physical blessing ends, but the spiritual blessing is everlasting” remarked Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo at his first divine service at Aflao in the Volta South Apostle Area on Sunday, 2nd February, 2020. One hundred and forty souls benefitted from the service.
The text word was read from John 1:17, ‘For, the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.’
Lead Apostle Ohene-Saffo elaborated that man’s freedom seized when Adam and Eve sinned. He explained: “Many prophets enforced the laws of Moses. Sin could even be committed in mind through evil thoughts. It is, therefore, very difficult to be justified by the laws since they were full of restrictions and prohibitions to control man.”
He continued: “By the love of God, grace and the truth came through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Those who receive Jesus Christ are given power to become the children of God and shall be saved. The truth is that, only those who are born again shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Grace waives off judgement for those who know the truth, live with it and are justified by it.”
Lead Apostle Ohene-Saffo concluded that by the grace, power and authority vested in the Apostles Ministry, the sins of those who surrender themselves are forgiven.
Apostle Anthony Kuada and District Rector Felix Agbenyegah also served at the altar.
