Apostle George Sam of the Takoradi Apostle working area conducted a united divine service to climax the celebration of the 50th Anniversary celebration in Tarkwa central church on the 5th January 2020 in the Tarkwa district. Members from all the Tarkwa district were present in their numbers.
The text word for the service was taken from Galatians 5:1: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
Apostle George Sam said: “In all you do, let Christ reflect in your life because Christ has made us free. He has delivered us from all the bondage of sin. Hate what is evil and be each other’s keeper. Let love dwell among you”.
He added: “Do you know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexuals nor offenders nor thieves, nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. These are what some of us were, but you were washed, sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our Lord He has made us free”.
Apostle Sam ended his sermon by saying: “Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love, make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace”.
Apostle George Sam was assisted by District Rector Agyapong, Deputy District Rector Daniel Awuah and Priest Abednego.
As part of the celebrations, Apostle George Sam together with some ministers and a section of the congregation made a visit to the Angels of Hope Orphanage. The congregation donated baby diapers, toiletries, clothes and an amount of money to the home. The kids at the orphanage were very excited. Madam Esi Antobam, who is the founder of the orphanage, thanked the congregation for their generosity, love and support.
