As we have entered the season of Advent, Obuasi District (Konongo Apostle Area) organised a Choral night on the 7th of December, 2019 at the Tutuka congregation. All surrounding congregations were also invited. Apostle Anum Nortey and Bishop Charles Kesse were in attendance.
The purpose was to make the congregants become aware of the Advent period and the preparation towards the live transmission Divine Service from Fellbach, Germany.
The Obuasi choir performed on the night with an inspired delivery of songs ministering the message of hope, peace, joy, praise and thanksgiving. There were also several bible texts read by some of the ministers and the congregants.
“We are in the preparation towards Christmas. Soon our King would be born. We need to be united and wait patiently for our king. Uniting will help us recognise the birth of Christ as an important event. This helped the shepherds to see the star when Christ was born. Let us be happy, our Lord is coming.” This was the Christmas message from Apostle Nortey.
Some of the hymns sung were Glory be to God, He is coming Hallelujah, To God be the glory, Joy to the world and Zion daughter’s O be glad. The night was all full of joy.
