Apostle Otchere and district ministers welcomed by the Sunday School
31 December 2019

The Sunyani Apostle Area marked the climax of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the church in Ghana with a divine service conducted by Apostle Moses Otchere on Sunday 22nd December 2019.

He based the service on a text taken from Psalm 104:14, “He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and vegetation for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth,”

In his sermon, Apostle Otchere recounted the early establishment of the church in Sunyani by saying, “the church has actually come this far by the grace of God because initially the church was meeting in a classroom.”

Apostle Otchere further reiterated the need for the youth to take the word of God serious. He admonished that the work of God is the best work one can involve themselves with, and that though sacrificial, we must do it willingly and selflessly.

The Apostle further mentioned the fact that God loves us no matter our sins and so we must show our love and gratitude to Him. He charged the gathering to remain resolute in God and continue to have trust in Him alone. God has given a fruit to His servants to be given to the members for free. That fruit is the Word of God.

“Let us know that God is not a sleeping God, and that He is forever a living God and He answers our prayers at the right time” concluded the Apostle.

The Apostle was assisted by District Elder Tornu. The Apostle also Holy Sealed some new members as part of the service.

Just before the service, the Sunday School children performed a role play titled Story of Joseph.
