Apostle Samuel Ayidana conducted a Christmas divine service at Serigo in Bolga District of the Bolgatanga Apostle area on the 25th December 2019, where he shared a special message of comfort and solace.
The text word was read from Titus 3:4-5, ‘But after that the kindness and love of God our saviour towards man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy, He saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost’.
Before the service, the Sunday school choir sang in joyful mood to praise the Lord for His loving gift of His Son to us.
The Apostle in his open words said, “It is a great joy and grace for me to be able to experience this festive divine service with you. it is a special service we of celebration and thanksgiving!” He said, “We give thanks to God for everything He has granted us. He deserves to be praised and thanked for all these reasons; giving His Only Begotten Son to us and the extent at which the New Apostolic Church in Ghana has grown over the past 50 years.”
He added that we can demonstrate our love to our Saviour by contributing to the church and society with the gifts of talents and blessings received from God.
“Where would Jesus Christ have been born in today’s times just as there is an ongoing census around us?”, Apostle Ayidana asked. He added that we should create a room in our hearts, just as Joseph sought for a room for the birth of Jesus, and allow our Lord Jesus Christ to stay and be a part of our everyday lives. That is the essence of Christ’s birth to us; to be a part of us through time.
“Let us not overwhelm ourselves with our individual and family problems, but rather look to Jesus and see what He can do for us. We can deny ourselves earthly things as Christ also did.” The coming of Christ was to restore the broken relationship between God and man, caused by the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Christ’s birth is testament of God’s undying love to fellowship with us.
The Apostle was assisted by District Evangelist Suguruman Yaw Laar, Brother Samuel Darrah
Bolga Central and Priest Henry (Rector) Of the Church Serigo.
Apostle Ayidana also used the festive period to celebrate with the youth and the entire congregants who had gathered, to share the love and warmth of fellowship with some food, drinks and chocolates.
