Shepherd Philemon Adjei at the altar in Techiman
13 December 2019

Many Apostle Working areas in the Ghana district church celebrate Thanksgiving in November. This is in line with the farming seasons in these areas, being largely farming communities. In the Sunyani and Techiman working areas, the case was no different.

Give Bountifully and Willingly

At the Techiman congregation, Shepherd Philemon Adjei served the congregation with the text word Psalm 41:2, “The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou will not deliver him unto the will of his enemies”. This happened on 24th November 2019.

The Shepherd entreated members to give willingly and bountifully, emphasizing on the importance of giving as an act of faith and to test the goodness and assurance of God.

Give Without Hesitation

Priest Emmanuel Ghabah led the thankful congregation of Tuobodom to celebrate Thanksgiving on 10th November 2019. He based his sermon on 2 Corinthians 9:7, ‘You should each give, then, as you have decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty; for God loves the one who gives gladly’

He recounted to the congregation the goodness and blessings of the Lord in all His provisions and love to us. He further advised the congregation by saying: “Remember the person who sows few seeds will have small crops, the one who sows many seeds will have large crops; therefore you should each give as much as you have decided without hesitation or any expectations.”
