It was an atmosphere full of joy and gratitude to our Heavenly Father when members of Kumasi Central Congregation in Ghana, on Sunday November 24th 2019, brought their  annual thanks offering to the Lord.

The divine service was conducted by Apostle Amos Osei-Du based on the text for the service was taken from 2 Corinthians 9: 8:  “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things , may have an abundance for every good work”

“We have gathered here today with one main desire: to show our gratitude to God for His grace and blessings upon us. Nobody can pay our Heavenly Father for His deeds and blessings in our lives. He deserves our gratitude because every good and perfect gift comes from Him.” These were the opening words of Apostle Amos Osei-Du.

In his sermon, the Apostle admonished the congregation to always remember God’s grace and blessings and always be thankful to Him. For God’s goodness towards the children of Israel, He commanded the congregation of Israel through Moses to take from among them an offering from a willing heart to the Lord. Our gratitude to God must not be out compulsion but out of a willing and a thankful heart.

The Apostle said, “God makes His grace abound to us in many ways and especially through the sacraments. His word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, must always be received in faith. If God delivers us from all the misfortunes and some challenges of this life, never should we think it has been by our own might, but by the hand of God upon us; we need to be thankful Apostle admonished.
Through His servants He makes available the words of salvation unto us which strengthens our faith. That faith is one of the greatest grace that is made available to us and it will be impossible to please God without it.

The Apostle reiterated the need for all members to continue to support God’s work so that the theme for the Golden jubilee celebration of the church in Ghana “Reaching out for the last soul” can be realized. He admonished members to always honour their vows and whatever they purposed in their heart for the Lord.

He concluded by advising members to abide by the words of the Lord to continue to love one another and wished all members the blessings of the Lord.

The Apostle was supported by District Elder Boadu, District Evangelists Gyimah and Kankam as well as Shepherd Asibuo. In attendance were the retired ministers namely Apostles Benjamin Nketiah, Moses Jantuah, Bishop Morgan and Shepherd Richard Annim. There were 791 members in attendance.
