On the 24th of November, 2019, Apostle George Anum Nortey conducted a divine service at Kwame Adukrom in New Edubiase district (Konongo Apostle Area). 107 members including children gathered at the church auditorium to listen to the word of God.

The service was based on the text word Revelation 21:6-7, ‘And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son’

“We have gathered here in Jesus’ name. We are all before the Almighty God. The purpose here is to listen to the word of God and also to partake of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us all be ready for today’s words and get the needed blessings for today’s divine service.” With these words, Apostle Nortey begun the service.

Apostle Nortey encouraged the congregants to continue having faith in God because He knows the situations we are passing through and He is capable of delivering us. Our Lord has already overcome our problems, and it will surely manifest. One day we will be like Him, just as He shall appear to us. If there is anything worth striving for, it should be the eternal life and it can be obtained through the fount of life (word of God) which gives us salvation.

The Apostle, in further explaining the text, said the water used in the bible symbolizes the word of God, as Jesus said in the book of John 4:14: ‘but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life’. God has created with the new earth and heaven, but it will be for those who gain salvation. The word of God is the water our Lord Jesus gives to us whenever we come to His presence. Salvation comes from the living God’s words. Apostles are sent to proclaim the word of God without any impurities.

“Let us be witnesses of the new earth and heaven God has promised us. Be with the words of God from the Apostles and overcome the problems on this earth”, Apostle George Nortey Anum concluded.

District Rector Opoku Ababio and Deputy District Rector Joseph Nyarko of New Edubiase District also served the congregation.
