A section of the Sunday school before the divine service
13 November 2019

The Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya visited Bosuso District in the Koforidua Apostle Area on 2nd November, 2019. He was received by all the eight congregations who converged at the Anyinam congregation for the service.

The text word was taken from Matthew 7:12, “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the Prophet.”

In his sermon he said, “Just as we want others to treat us well, we should first treat them in that same manner. We should not shun people with disabilities, they also need care and love. Let us put ourselves in their shoes and sympathize as well as empathize with them.” He further counseled that we should do unto others what Jesus did for us. “There is no law greater than love. In the Mosaic Law, evil was paid with evil. But in our era, Jesus has taught us to overcome evil with good for this will bring peace.”

Going on, he admonished that we should love and pray for our enemies. He also encouraged the members to be patient in all their endeavours, and forgive one another just as Jesus also forgives us. He also encouraged the Sunday school to be strong and remain faithful.

He was assisted by Apostle Robert Asampong, District Rector Ofori Emmanuel Dwamena and Priest Amos Amuzu (Anyinam congregation rector).
