Together with oneness, good heart and one faith, Apostle Eward Hayford Nzimah joined the faithful members on Sunday, 3rd November, 2019 at the Wiawso Central church in the Western-North region of Ghana, to celebrate a special divine service where there was an intercessory prayer for the dead.

The Apostle read a text from 1Thessalonians 4:13-14, ‘But I do not want to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For I believe that Jesus died and rose again, when so God will bring Him those who sleep in Jesus’

“My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, it is a blessing for everyone present to be here today. We also thank the Almighty God for this special day in the New Apostolic calendar. It is our belief that it is of great significance we intercede for the dead, and this is the reason why we are all gathered here in one accord” said the Apostle as he began the service.

The Apostle continued as he elaborated of the text word: “Who amongst you here knows the state of the souls of our departed brothers and sisters as we speak? Not every soul will be kept in Abraham’s bosom, but rather those who died in Christ. There is a need to intercede for all souls, even including those we know died in Christ.

Bringing the sermon to an end, the Apostle advised the congregation to refrain from material things and focus on how to serve the Living God with a good heart, and in one faith ask for forgiveness of sins for souls to be redeemed into Abraham’s bosom when we depart. “May God bless you, protect you and give you mercies as you go to your various congregations”, said the Apostle as he ended the service.
