Apostle George Sam at the Kojokrom congregation
29 October 2019

Apostle George Sam shared the gospel of giving and its associated blessings in a divine service conducted on the 6th of October 2019 at Kojokrom congregation, in the Takoradi Apostle area.

Apostle George Sam read a text word for the service from 2 Corinthians 9:8, “God is able to make grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every Good work”.

“One day God said to Moses, speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering, of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart, you shall take his offering. Why did God ask the Israelites to give an offering to him? He did that because it is more blessed to give than to receive. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap, for the measure you use, it will be measured to you” began the Apostle.

Apostle Sam continued, “If we give from our heart, the grace of God will abound towards us and cause an increase in all things. Abel offered an offering from his heart and God blessed him. The sinful woman who brought an alabaster jar of perfume, washed Jesus feet with her hair, kissed His feet many times and finally rubbed them with her perfume; she had her sins forgiven.

“Again Jesus sat opposite the palace where he watched a crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich men put in large amounts, but a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins worth only a few cents. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, ‘truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all others. They all gave out their wealth but she, out of her poverty put everything – all she had to live.”

Apostle Sam concluded the service by admonishing all the members to give willingly and whole heartedly because, “…givers never lack.”

Apostle Sam was assisted by District Evangelist Boadi and Shepherd Ntim.
