On Sunday, 15th September 2019, Apostle Edward Hayford Nzimah conducted a divine service at the Boako Cental Church in the Wiawso Apostle Area in the Western-North region of Ghana.
The text word for the service was taken from Galatians 3: 28, ‘There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slaves nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.’
“Who among you present has not thanked God for being here at this moment? Most people do not have the opportunity you are enjoying now. Therefore brethren, if we are here today at this moment, then we ought to give thanks to our Lord almighty who has made everything possible. You must also remember that, everything we are doing now shall be accounted for at the day of judgement.” These were the introductory words of inspiration by Apostle Edward Hayford Nzimah as he began his sermon.
Throwing more light on the text word, he said, “God did not send his Begotten Son neither because of the Jews nor the Greeks, nor Catholics or Pentecostals, nor for blacks or whites. Instead, Christ come to save all of us irrespective of who we are.” He continued, “when Jesus met the woman at the well, he knew that she was a Samarian. But due to the indiscriminate love He has for all of us, He gave her the Word of God. So Brethren, as Christians, we ought to portray Christ-like behaviour towards our neighbours, for we are all one in Christ.”
Bringing his sermon to a close, he advised the congregation to be united, and not let their material possessions and societal associations hinder people from worshiping the Lord. Rather, let us be one with others so that our Father in heaven will shower His blessings on them.
The divine service was supported by District Elder David Addae (Boako District) and Priest Samuel Owusu.
