Apostle Benjamin Darko at the altar
17 September 2019

Youth Camps are yearly programmes that are normally designed for the youth in the New Apostolic Church.  The youth in the Dunkwa Apostle Area gathered together at Diaso Senior High School in Upper Denkyira West (Central Region of Ghana) for the 2019 youth camp from 15th to 18th August.  On the fourth day, as done in previous camps, there was a divine service for the youth.

Apostle Benjamin Darko conducted a divine service for about 350 youth, from all fourteen districts of the Dunkwa Apostle Area who gathered at Diaso.

The text word for the service was taken from Psalm 139: 14: “I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well”.

Apostle Darko congratulated the youth for their conduct, and the enthusiasm they had shown throughout their four-day stay.  He continued to encourage them to live a life that reflects that of Christ and praised them for personifying the theme for this year’s youth camp, “Here I Am”.

He admonished the youth to appreciate how God created them. “Whether male or female or even impaired, God made you in a special way, and in His own image; do not let any man belittle your youth”, he added.

Concluding, the Apostle taught the youth that their duty was to let others benefit from the good things that God has put in them, whether singing, proclaiming the word, or doing other church work.  “When you respond to these, then you can confidently say Lord, ‘here I am, fearfully and wonderfully made for your work’”, he ended.

The service was supported by District Elders Arhin, Osei and Ansah, as well as District Evangelist Daniel Arthur.
