“My beloved, I know, see and have the feeling that you are happy. We are also in this joy with you, it is the reason your families, friends and the congregation are gathered here today. May the Lord continually grant you this joy in all your endeavours.” These were the introductory remarks by Apostle Ashie Kotei of Cape Coast Apostle Area when he conducted a wedding blessing service for Susuana Fosuah Essel and Michael Dela Adjabeng at the Cape Coast Central Church on Saturday August 17, 2019.
The text word for the service was taken from 1 Peter 4:10, ‘As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of manifold grace of God.’
Apostle Ashie Kotei entreated the couple to pray to God to lead them in everything. He further urged them to use the talent they have to help and comfort each other, and to understand themselves in difficult situations. He stated that patience, humbleness, love and faithfulness are indispensable gifts in marriage.
The Apostle reminded them of the Lord’s blessing, “God chose you when you were in your mother’s womb, therefore hold on to His grace.” He stressed that “the beginning of marriage is not always important, but the end; be humble in it.”
Apostle Ashie Kotei concluded by admonishing them to hold these thoughts in their hearts and to do what is holy and good before the Lord all the time.
District Rector Asare of Assin Fosu District assisted in the service. Also in attendance were all the districts leaders of Cape Coast Apostle Area.
