Apostle Ohene-Saffo welcomed by a Sunday School sister with District Elder Adjei looking on
14 July 2019

“Together we are again to listen to the Word of God; because the Lord has selected us for a specific purpose that we should be able to strive on to get into the Kingdom of God.” These were the opening remarks from Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo as he celebrated a special divine service with our family of the Golf City congregation (Accra East district) on Wednesday, 3rd July 2019. He was accompanied by District Elder Ebenezer Adjei.

The service was based on the text word John 4:11, ‘The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?  Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”’

Elaborating on the bible text, Apostle Ohene-Saffo highlighted that just as Jesus explained to the Samaritan woman at the well, the Lord is the Living Water not to quench our physical thirst; but our belief and acceptance of Him gives eternal life and salvation into the Kingdom of God.

“No one else can get us into the Kingdom of God except through our Lord Jesus. His death gave the ability to forgive sins. By Him our sins are forgiven once and for all. Brethren, to enter the Kingdom of God, your sins must be forgiven.” He continued, “We have the Living Water. He is the source of strength for you and I. In Him is power – because He died and overcame death; and authority – vested in the ministry of the Apostles to forgive sins.”

In concluding, the Apostle added, “The Lord Jesus Christ is a source of comfort for you and I. The prophets always left their people in death, but He sent us the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to teach us the way to go.” “Brethren, we shall drink of this Living Water that our souls shall live forever. May the Lord be with us all. Amen.”

On this special visit, District Elder Adjei was called to serve. 48 souls were in attendance with 7 souls holy sealed by Apostle Ohene-Saffo.

Golf City is one of the two new congregations of the Accra East district established on 27th May 2018. It is a growing congregation with a membership of about 60 souls.
