Apostle Ashie Kotei of Cape Coast Apostle Area conducted a ministers’ divine service where 43 new ministers were ordained at the Cape Coast Central Church on Thursday July 4, 2019. He was accompanied by all District Rectors.
The bible text for the service was from 2 Timothy 2:15, ‘Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.’
Apostle Ashie Kotei begun his sermon with an address to the congregation saying, “My beloved brothers, today we have come to the House of God, the Father, and to the work that we have been commissioned to do, and which you will also be commissioned to do.” “And how can we be able to do the work of God? We have to let God’s thoughts and thinking be in us all the time.”
The Apostle stated that, although Jesus was the Son of God, He did exactly what God wanted Him to do in total obedience. Anything against the commandment of God is not worthy before Him. “Are our actions worthy before God?” he asked. “There is no greater work than the work of God. It is not the quantity of the talent of Priests and Deacons that matters, but what you do with what you have.”
Apostle Ashie Kotei further admonished them not to only work when their leaders are around and watching but work all the time. “The work of God is worthy, precious and valuable, we don’t have to do it anyhow, we will account for it. Let us be firm in our mind and acknowledge all that God has done for us, and serve Him continually with our heart, soul and mind; and remember, the congregation will always be the reflection of the minister.”
District Rectors Asare (Assin Fosu district) and Assuah (Asikuma district) assisted in the service. 24 brothers were ordained into the Priestly ministry, whiles 19 were also ordained into the Deacon ministry.
