The Kyekyewere district congregation marching through the town
25 May 2019

Lead Apostle Oppong Brenya celebrated the 50th anniversary in a divine service with the Kyekyewere Congregration at the Kyekyewere District in the Takoradi Apostle working area on the 19th of May 2019. This visit ended his visit to the Apostle working area.

The service was based on Mathew 14:32, “And when they were come into the ship the wind ceased”.

Lead Apostle Oppong-Brenya begun his sermon by giving glory to God Almighty for His love, protection and faithfulness for how far the Lord has brought His church.

“If you have Christ, hold fast unto Him till the end. It may not be easy but He that holds Him to the end shall be saved. Nothing is impossible for God. Let us be content with what we have. Work with your hands and do not envy others, and the Lord will bless the works on your hands”

Lead Apostle Oppong Brenya cautioned the congregation to desist from activities that destroys our natural resources especially our water bodies.

He ended his sermon by saying, “When Peter lost focus on Jesus Christ he began to sink. Let us remain focused in our Lord Jesus no matter the storms of life”.

Lead Apostle Oppong Brenya was assisted by Apostle George Sam and District Elder Owu.

As part of the celebrations, the congregation earlier marched around the town through some principal streets with music and brass band an hour prior to the divine service. The Sunday school children also welcomed the Lead Apostle by presenting flowers to him and also performed a role play on the topic, “Further Images of the Revelations”.
