In praise of God’s love in adoration, the Madina congregation celebrated a festive divine service with District Apostle Michael Ehrich on Thursday evening, 24th January 2019. He was accompanied by Lead Apostle Oppong-Brenya and Apostle Ohene-Saffo.

The text word for the service was taken from John 10:27, ‘My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me’

The District Apostle began by expressing his joy to be at the Madina congregation. He also praised the beauty and steadfastness of their faith, especially in attending divine services despite the busy and noisy surroundings. He also thanked brethren of both past and present, in establishing the church in Ghana over the last 50 years.

“I want to ask you brothers and sisters, and I ask same of myself, ‘Do we really hear the voice of our Shepherd?’” asked the District Apostle as he explained the text word. Through the Apostles and priestly ministry, we should hear the voice of our Shepherd at divine services. “That is the task of their promise; to proclaim the gospel.” The District Apostle encouraged the congregation to look beyond the imperfections of the ministers and recognize them as messengers of God.

“Do we hear the voice of the Shepherd through the Holy Spirit?” “We all have the gift of the Holy Spirit. We can hear the Holy Spirit speak to us through our soul.” Sometimes when we have bad intentions, the voice of the Shepherd, through the Holy Spirit, prompts us of our status as a child of God.

“Do we realize that our Lord Jesus knows us?” He explained that the Lord Jesus created us and knows everything about us. But above all He loves us. “Let us put our lives and faith in His hands as He tries to nurture and help us spiritually, just as a mother does for her child.”

“If we hear His voice, and recognize that He knows us, then we have to follow Him. But what does it mean to follow Him?” The District Apostle highlighted that we have to uphold the Lord Jesus above all things and do His will in all situations. And as we strive, the Lord will help us “carry His cross.”

“So my dear brothers and sisters, let us keep His word in our heart and souls, always hear His voice and always follow Him; then He will give us eternal life. Let us not be just hearers of the word, but doers of the word.”

District Apostle Michael Ehrich was assisted by Lead Apostle Oppong-Brenya and Apostle Ohene-Saffo. There were 247 brothers and sisters in attendance.
