On the 30th of December 2018, Apostle George Sam of the Takoradi Apostle working area conducted a divine service at Kojokrom congregation in the Takoradi district.
The text word for the day was taken from the book of Psalm 126:3, ‘The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.’
Apostle Sam proclaimed to the congregation to always look to God and not to their fellow human beings when they are in times of difficulties, just as David did. He also encouraged the congregation not to look back to the troubles and pains in 2018, but instead focus and be glad that the Lord’s mercies have kept us safe till now.
The Apostle added that as the day marked the last divine service for the year, we should look forward and remain faithful to Christ.
In conclusion, Apostle Sam entreated everyone to always give thanks to God in any circumstance they find themselves.
Apostle Sam was assisted by Bishop Ampofo and three other district elders. He also read a letter from District Apostle Michael Ehrich to the congregation and also reminded them about the Chief Apostle’s visit to Ghana in the coming month at Cape Coast.
Three hundred and forty (340) souls were in attendance, including retired Apostle Fenyi and other retired minsters who were invited by Apostle Sam.
After divine service, Apostle George Sam and Bishop Ampofo held lunch for current and invited retired ministers and their spouses. Gifts were also shared to ministers and their spouses.
