Wednesday, the 28th of November 2018, was a special evening as Apostle Ohene Saffo visited the Osu congregation in the Accra East district. He was accompanied by District Elder Adjei and District Evangelist Amoah.
The text word was taken from Psalm 118:19, “Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord.”
The Apostle expressed his gladness for coming to the Osu congregation which he referred to as his home congregation. In his sermon, the Apostle said “Righteousness of man does not depend on his efforts but depends on the grace of God to mankind.” He explained further that in the olden times, sacrifices for the atonement of sin were made in the high places and later in the temple in Jerusalem; using animals, doves and the likes.
However, a new temple, a church, established on the Ministry of the Apostles through Christ, is now here on earth for mankind where one's sin can be forgiven. He continued that “this gate is opened where one can enter to receive the sacraments with a humble heart.”
Those who keep the commandments of God are the people He loves - their names are written in the book of the Lamb - they are the righteous ones. He urged everyone to strive to be worthy to enter into His kingdom and join the righteous ones to praise Him.
District Elder Adjei, District Evangelist Amoah & Shep. Kwapong were called to assist at the altar.
