The District Apostle being embraced by a happy Sunday School child
24 November 2018

On the 18th November 2018, District Apostle Michael Ehrich conducted a festive divine service for the people of the Accra Apostle Area at the premises of the Central congregation. He was accompanied by Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong Brenya as well as the other 15 Apostles and 4 Bishops in Ghana. The service was also transmitted live on the national broadcasting television network (GBC).

The text word for the service was taken from Matthew 21:23 (NKJV), “Now when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people confronted Him as He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?”

In his opening words, District Apostle Ehrich assured everyone that God loves us all without exception. We may be in some struggle and hardship but it does not mean God does not love us. Sometimes in difficulty, we actually draw closer to God; our prayers are deeper and often, we learn and grow in faith. God does care for our souls and hears our prayers.

In sharing his core thoughts on the text word, the District Apostle explained that we know by what authority Jesus Christ taught and healed. “He was true man and true God. He was and still is. He is a person of the Trinity. He is the creator; He is omniscient; He is omnipotent; This is the authority by which Jesus Christ was acting.”

Jesus Christ came in the likeness of man to show us how to live our lives, and our relationship to the Trinity. As man, the Lord Jesus was obedient into His death and always maintained a close connection to the Heavenly Father. “Brothers and sisters that is what we have to do. Let us be obedient to our Heavenly Father. Let us have a close connection to Him. That is why we have the divine services, because at the divine services the Gospel is proclaimed.”

In conclusion, the District Apostle advised that through the gift of the Holy Spirit, we can keep the commandments of Jesus Christ. We have been given the authority by Jesus Himself to proclaim and live according to the Gospel. This is our task as the salt and light of the earth, and to work towards the eternal Kingdom of Peace.

District Apostle Erich was supported by Bishop Adjabeng as well as District Elders Kyere and Agbozo. He also retired two Bishops and 12 District Elders. In replacement, he ordained 14 District Elders and 9 District Evangelists.
