“My dear young couple, brothers and sisters in this festive congregation; it is a special moment we have gathered here this afternoon because our young couple have asked for the blessings of our heavenly Father” said District Apostle Michael Ehrich as he commenced a wedding blessing service for the daughter of Apostle Ashie-Kotei (Cape Coast Apostle Area) and her partner. He was accompanied by Lead Apostle Oppong-Brenya and the 15 other Apostles in Ghana. The service was held at the premises of the Central congregation on the 17th November 2018.
Based on the text word Psalm 84:4 NKJV, “Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You.”
The District Apostle explained that having God’s blessings does not mean enjoying a trouble-free life but rather experiencing the presence of God in our lives always. We can always receive blessings in the House of the Lord and when we do, we must recognize that He is close to us for which we must always praise Him.
The District Apostle explained the term “dwelling” as meaning to stay in a place. Just as we invest ourselves in making our houses comfortable as the centre-point of our lives, we must also focus and invest ourselves in dwelling in the House of the Lord. “The House of our heavenly Father should also be the centre-point of our lives” he said. “When we dwell in His house, when we hear the gospel, when we celebrate Holy Communion, we find peace and rest in His house.”
The District Apostle concluded by wishing the blessings of God on the couple, Kotei-kai Ashie Kotei and Kwaku Darko Mensah. He advised them to focus and dwell in the House of God. “I wish for you my dear young couple, that you have a blessed life; that you will have a nice earthly house; that your wishes can be fulfilled if possible; but remember we will not be here on this earth for eternity but with His blessings you shall reach His desired end for you.”
The District Apostle was assisted by Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya. Four hundred and twenty-five members and guests were in attendance.
