Apostle Sam at the altar during the divine service
10 November 2018

On the 4th of November 2018, Apostle George Sam of the Takoradi Apostle Working Area held the third and final divine service for the departed for the year 2018, with the Sekondi Congregation (Sekondi District).

The text word for the day was taken from Jude 20 - 21, ‘But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.’

The Apostle reminded the congregation about the purpose of the gathering, the need to build our faith in the Lord and as to how we can intercede for the departed souls in beyond. He encouraged everyone to be interested in the welfare of his neighbour and extend same by interceding on behalf of the departed souls.

Apostle Sam also stressed on the need for us to have faith in God in other to have eternal life and desist from speaking against Him. Using the story of Noah, he explained that those who lost faith in God and spoke against His plan of redemption died, but those who had faith with Noah were saved.

The Apostle was assisted by District Elder Appiah and Shepherd J. Acquah (Rector).
