Devotional Service by lead Apostle Oppong Brenya, flanked by all the Apostles in Ghana
24 July 2018

Following a collective decision of the Apostles Ministry in Ghana, a 3-day seminar was held in Kumasi for all District Ministers from the 15 Apostle Working Areas in Ghana, under the leadership of Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya. The maiden event was held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology from the 18th to 20th July, 2018.

The assembly saw the Apostles and Bishops from all the respective working areas also in attendance. In total, 269 District leaders participated in the capacity building seminar that also created an opportunity for fraternization and experience sharing.

The event began with a welcome address by the Lead Apostle. He also spoke on dedication and steadfastness of District Ministers in their commission. He then discussed the objectives of the New Apostolic Church from 2015 – 2020.

The Lead Apostle, assisted by the Apostles and selected District Ministers, discussed into detail many topics. Key among them included membership, ministers and church buildings in the various Apostle Areas; congregational care and doctrinal developments in the Ministers Guide. The group also deliberated on Prayer and its Effects, Sunday School, Self Sufficiency, Acts of Blessing and the Return of Christ among others.

The Lead Apostle also reviewed the Chief Apostle’s programme in January 2019.  He introduced the church’s website for Ghana and encouraged the Ministers to contribute to and visit the website to be conversant with faith building events.

A short Divine Service climaxed the activities on the last day at 8.00 AM.  The text word was taken from Ezekiel 2:3-5 ‘And he said unto me, Oh Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me…’

Lead Apostle Oppong-Brenya likened Prophet Ezekiel’s work to that of the Ministers and encouraged them to go and proclaim the gospel with humility, but without fear to the people in captivity to fulfil God’s salvation plan in Ghana.  The District Ministers exchanged pleasantries and felicitations after the divine service as they departed.
