Annual Adult Fellowship Convention was held by Konongo Apostle Area at New Edubiase from 29 th March, to 1st April 2018 with the theme “Behold, I come quickly” (Rev. 22:12)”
A divine service and an Open Forum on the subject, “Tenacity of low attendance in the church” were the activities held on Good Friday. Other topics discussed later in the day were Sacrifice and Issues of Marriage.
On Saturday, after the morning devotion, the adult embarked on outreach program for the purpose of “Proclaiming our faith” to the community. The evangelism team was sent to make Jesus and the Church known to the folks. Health talks by District Elder Anthony Bosompem and Hymns were learnt in the evening.
The gathering was climaxed by a Divine Service conducted by Apostle Anom Nortey on Easter Sunday. He was accompanied by Bishop Charles Kesse and some of the District Elders of the Apostle Area.
The text word for the service was chosen from Acts 10: 40-42: “Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead (NKJV).”
The Apostle further explained that we are the witnesses in this era. It is therefore our obligation to proclaim the word of God to our relatives, friends and neighbors. The death of Christ has brought us confidence, hope, faith and love. He heartened the adults to proclaim the word, remain faithful to Christ and prepare for the return of Jesus Christ.
The total number of participants recorded was nearly 500 and ten guests.
