A dwelling place for the children of God in Serigu
24 March 2018

Having been in a rented classroom, to a shelter totally destroyed by strong winds, the people of Serigu began a heartfelt journey to build a place of worship. Together in determination, the purity of their oneness and by the heartfelt benevolence of a District Evangelist and a Priest, the journey was completed.

With women head porting stones and men heavy lifting building materials manually, the goal was finally achieved. A beautiful edifice as a dwelling place for the children of God in Serigu was built.

This encouraged the visit of the Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya for a memorable dedication service for the newly built beautiful chapel for the Serigu congregation (under the Bolgatanga Apostle area), which on Sunday 18th March, 2018 recorded a total number of 152 congregants from across the congregations in the district.

The service was based on 1 Chronicles 29:3, followed by a special anthem by the choir titled ‘’Oh Lord my God’’ to open the service. The Lead Apostle commended the joy of the people of Serigu and expressed that it forever remains in their hearts, and also that the chapel remains a dwelling place for the children of God.

He further expressed extensive appreciation to a member of the congregation who donated the land for the building of the chapel and also ministers and all congregants for the good work done. The dedication service was supported by Apostle Kyeremeh and District Evangelist Simon Dugbenu. The Lead Apostle shared some love with women and Sunday school children.
