The members of Teshie 2 congregation (an Accra East District congregation under the Accra Apostle Area) celebrated divine service with District Evangelist J.B Amoah on the 18th of March 2018. There were about 100 souls in attendance.
The text word for the service was taken from the book of Mark 26:28, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
Reflecting on the text word, District Evangelist Amoah explained that the essence of the Last Supper was not meant for the disciples of Jesus Christ at that time only but for the benefit of all mankind. He further added that the Last Supper, which symbolizes the remission of our sins, is continually remembered today through the partaking of the Holy Communion.
However, we can only fully enjoy the grace and salvation through the Sacraments and the Word, if we strive and persevere not to remain in our sinful deeds. He added that by our human nature, we are more likely to sin, but if we make a conscious effort to be Christ-like and endure in faith to gain a divine life, we will enjoy the full benefits of the grace shared at the table of the Last Supper.
District Evangeist J.B. Amoah was assisted during the service by the rector of Teshie 2, Shepherd Ashittey and Community Evangelist Emmanuel.
