District Evangelist Amoah leading the opening prayer
21 February 2018

District Evangelist J.B. Amoah of the Accra East District (under the Accra Apostle Area) visited the Tema congregation for the first time in the year 2018. The divine service was held on the 18th of February with 113 souls in attendance.

The service was based on the text word Hebrew 2:18, “For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.”

In his reflections on the text word, District Evangelist Amoah encouraged the congregation not to be swayed by the attraction of other spiritual solutions and faiths to solve our problems. He added that the eventual end to such beliefs and practices are often destructive and irreversible. He further advised that in all things we should be thankful to God, whether in the good times or in the troubled times.

He further stressed that as Christians, we are bound to face challenges, just as Jesus did, and it is in those times we should resolve to stand firm in our belief in Jesus Christ.

The District Evangelist Amoah was supported by the rector of Tema Shepherd Quansah-Haylse, as well as the other resident ministers Community Evangelist Sackey, Priest Tetteh, Priest Amponsah, Priest Badu and Priest Asamoah-Boateng.
