Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya declared the year’s theme proposed by the Chief Apostle for all New Apostolic Christians as “Faithful to Christ”. He conducted the first divine service of the year in the Kumasi Central Church on the 7th of January 2018.
The Lead Apostle was accompanied by Apostle Amos Osei-Du, in charge of the Kumasi Apostle Area. The service was graced with the presence of District Elder Wolfgang Oehler from South Germany. The scriptural text was chosen from Psalm 101.6, “My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me, he who walks in a perfect way, he shall serve me”.
The Apostle thanked our heavenly Father for the new year 2018. He said despite our weaknesses as human beings He keeps his promises and has called us into the fellowship of His Son and will do whatever it takes for us to reach our goal. ” The Apostle said Christ is faithful and we are faithful to Him.
He advised the congregation to put their house in order to fulfill the admonition of the Psalmist. He said to dwell in the tabernacle of the LORD, we must walk uprightly, work righteousness and speak the truth. He said backbiting, evil doing to the neighbor and taking up reproach against the neighbor will separate us from the Lord. 1971 brethren were present.
