Sunday school children at Kpatove welcome Apostle Oppong
4 December 2017

There are three Apostle Working Areas in the Volta Region of Ghana. These are Volta Central, Volta North and Volta South. These working Areas are cared for by Apostles Benjamin Pidah, Timothy Akubia and Wilson Dzatta respectfully. After the visit of District Apostle Michael Ehrich to Tsavanya in the Volta South Apostle Area in the early part of November 2017, Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya completed his schedule for the year 2017, by visiting Volta South and Volta Central Apostle Areas. His visit spanned from the 25th - 26th November 2017.

The divine service on Saturday, 25th November, 2017, took place at Kpatove in the Adaklu District. He used Revelation 1:9 as the text word for the divine service. Referring to, Acts 14:22, the Apostle admonished the congregation not to be perturbed by numerous temptations they may encounter in the practice of their faith. He said we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. 354 brethren attended the divine service. 2 Shepherds and a Priest were ordained to care for the congregations.

On Sunday, 26th November, 2017, the Apostle conducted a festive divine service at Dzolo-Gboyame. This was the home congregation of the demised Apostle Parku. He was a pioneer Apostle of the establishment of the New Apostolic Church in the Volta Region. Romans 5:1-2 was the chosen word for the divine service. “Therefore having been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God”.

It was a solemn moment when Apostle Oppong-Brenya together with Apostles Pida, Akubia and Dzatta and the congregation prayed at the tomb of the demised Apostle Parku who was laid to rest on the grounds of the church. He told the congregation that the only good tribute they can pay to the departed Apostle is to persevere to the end, as the Apostle did.  The attendance recorded was 152.
