Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya visited the University of Ghana Campus Congregation on 8th October 2017. Accompanying him was Apostle Saffo in charge of the Accra Apostle Area.
The scriptural text was chosen from Proverbs 30:29-31, “There are three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going: A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turned not away for any; A greyhound; an he goat also, and a king, against whom there is no rising up”.
He said the lion illustrates boldness, confidence and fearlessness. Proverbs 30:30. He urged the congregation to be bold and fearless like the lion in executing their Christian duties regardless of opposition or threats.
He said the greyhound is fast and agile with great eye sight to see small moving objects afar off. The Apostle further admonished the congregation to be swift in doing God's work and get rid of any obstacles that would slow them down in running the race of life. Hebrew 12:1-2.
The Apostle alluded to the he goat as a strong picture of grave and sober leadership, Jeremiah 50:8. He said Jesus Christ lead His Church through His Apostles.
The Apostle concluded that there is no rising up against Jesus Christ, because He is the King of kings and the Only Potentate 1 Tim 6:13-16.
