The itinerary of Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya took him to the Volta Central Apostle Area from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of May 2017. His first point of call was at Tosen where he conducted a divine service. He used Psalm 22:25 as the text for the divine service. “My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation, I will pay my vows before them that fear him”.
The Apostle said the suffering of those who bear the cross will not last forever. He said the conditions of sorrow will change for joy at the revelation of Christ. He added that in the early part of Psalm 22, David was in danger and seemed his God has forsaken him. However, in Psalm 23, he could sing the wonderful song, “The Lord is my Shepherd”.
125 brethren attended the divine service.
On the 20th May, 2017, the Apostle held a meeting for all District Ministers working in the Apostle Area. He discussed matters of great importance pertaining to the Apostle Area.
The climax of his visit was the festive divine service conducted at Ho Central Church. The text was chosen from Acts 1:13-14, “And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus and with his brethren”. The Apostle concluded that the upper room of our time is the altar of grace where the Apostles of Christ proclaim good tidings of Salvation to all. 684 brethren attended the divine service.
