Apostle Oppong-Brenya continued from Techiman to Cape Coast where he conducted the thanksgiving divine service at the Cape Coast Central Church on 2nd October 2016.
He chose Genesis 4:4 as the basis for the divine service. “And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and his offering.”
The Apostle said we all owe God a debt of gratitude. He said God has not sent us a bill for the air we breathe, the sun for the day, the moon and the stars for the night, the rains for our natural life, and the angels for our protection. We bring our offerings to show our appreciation and gratitude to God. He said our offering is used for the world- wide organization and activities of the Church, contributions to the needy in war torn areas, natural calamities and orphanages. We experience blessings and protection out of our sincere offering which is pleasing in the sight of God.
One hundred and seventy two brothers and sisters attended the divine service amid heavy down pour of rain in the early hours of Sunday. Six souls were sealed.
Apostle Oppong-Brenya was accompanied by Bishop Kyere who assists Apostle Ashie Kotei to care for the Apostle area.
