A section of Ministers and families before the divine service
12 June 2016

Apostle Samuel Opppong-Brenya fulfilled his scheduled program to the Cape Coast Apostle area from Saturday 11th to Sunday 12th June 2016. He was accompanied by Bishop Kwabena Kyere who assist Apostle Ashie Kotei in taking care of the Apostle area. The two day program was held at the Cape Coast Central Church.

On the 11th June, 2016, Apostle Oppong-Brenya conducted a divine service solely for Ministers and their families. This marked the fourth divine service for Ministers and their families within the year; having conducted three of such divine services in other Apostle Areas.

The Apostle used 1 Corinthians 16;19 as the basis for the text word, “ The Churches of Asia salute you.  Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house”.

The Apostle compared the churches of Asia to the churches in the various Apostle areas in Ghana. It is like extending greetings from one Apostle area to the other. He said Aquila and Priscilla represents Ministers and their wives in the church of Christ in our present generation. They were the helpers of Apostle Paul, so now the Ministers and their wives are also helpers to the Apostle Ministry; Romans 16:3

The Apostle said the church that is in their house represents the believers in the house which constitutes the family, that is ,the Ministers, the wives and the children. “True religion is not practiced in the temple, but in the house which is the family. The greater participation of the Ministers, their wives and their children in the salvation work of Christ makes the church stronger” the Apostle said these among other things.

Three hundred and five Ministers and their families took part in the divine service. One Shepherd and a Community Evangelist who have faithfully served in their various Ministries were deservingly retired on account of age.
