Community Evangelist Evans Asampong was retired from the Ministry about three years ago. He served for a period of fifteen years before his retirement. He was the Rector of Teacher Mante congregation also responsible for some congregations in the Mangoase Elder District.
He was attacked by a strange disease which left him with both feet paralyzed. Even with the assistance of clutches it was impossible for him to walk.
It was upon this mishap that Apostle Andrews Boakye applied for humanitarian assistance in the form of a wheel chair on his behalf from the Church. His request was granted and the Apostle handed the wheel chair to the retired evangelist after the Pentecost divine service at his home. The Community Evangelist was full of joy and expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the church for the kind gesture.
