A child welcoming our District Apostle
5 May 2016

The highlight of the visit of our District Apostle was the festive divine service at the Accra Central Church on the 1st of May 2016. He was accompanied by all the Apostles and Bishops of Ghana.

The text word was Romans 6:8-9 “Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him, knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more, death hath no more dominion over him”.

The District Apostle said through Baptism and Holy Sealing, we die with Jesus Christ so can also participate at the Holy sacrifice of Jesus Christ. With him we have to “die to sin”. It is not possible for us as human to stay from sin, we are not perfect. The important thing for us is to fight against sin and to resist it. He said one can compare it with an earthly situation, if anybody dies  nobody has any entitlement against him. If we die with Jesus Christ, Satan has no entitlement against us.

We receive the “essence of Jesus Christ” by the word of God, and the Holy Communion. That is why the divine services are so important. In order to keep the new life our relationship with God and our neighbor changes, through that we are able to carry injustice. Matthew 18:21-22. We act like the good Samaritan and show compassion. We are interested in the Church and bring sacrifices to the Lord and invest our gifts and talents given by God in his work. We also use every opportunity to give testimony of our faith and put the goal of our faith in the centre point of our life John 14:3

One thousand three hundred and forty five brothers and sisters attended the divine service.
