To usher in the Easter festivities, the Kumasi Central Church organized a carol night for the members and quests. The theme for the musical program was “The Savior is Coming Soon”. Many distinguished personalities were invited to grace the occasion. Among them were Mr. Varrick Armah a well known Ghanaian traditional sung composer and writer and Professor Barfour Opoku, Consultant Obstetrician/ Gynaecologist and Lecturer at KNUST Medical School in Kumasi.

The program took the form of Bible reading and music comprising choir and orchestra. Seven lessons were read from the Bible. These were well known passages relating to Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter. The over one hundred and fifty strong choir and orchestra were mainly drawn from the Old Tafo and Kumasi Central congregations.

The world famous Hallelujah Chorus and a traditional sung “Meye dede” were sung for the enjoyment of all present. Over five hundred members and quests attended the program. Also in attendance were Apostles Oppong-Brenya, Benjamin Nketia, Annom Nortey, Otchere Ayarkwa, Paul Yaw Kyereme as well as Bishops Dadzie Morgan and Antwi Kyereme.
