“Christmas is observed to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, and only those that appreciate the good work of Jesus Christ celebrate it perfectly” began Shepherd Eric Donkor as he officiated the Christmas Day service at the Nkawkaw Central Congregation.
The text word was taken from Titus 3:4-5, “But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by the words of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing and regeneration and renewing of Holy Spirit”.
Elaborating on the text word, Shepherd Eric Donkor explained that God did not allow the sins of mankind to limit His love and will for us. Rather He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from the eternal captivity of our sins.
He added that God did not discriminate against people; He gave His son to the whole world to save every soul. “The love of God exceeds every race, category and barrier of mankind. We must also cultivate such a character as His children and followers of the Gospel”, he ended the service.
